Who Is The Author Of Your Story?

Hungry - Day 6

"I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me." Proverbs 8:17

I recently watched a testimony on the video "Furious Love" that featured an Indian Guru who gave his heart to the Lord. He had been sincerely searching for "God". There are many God's in the Indian religion but what made this testimony so inspiring was that God came to him in a dream and told him to look for a certain man in a certain place who would tell him about the one true God. Meanwhile God told a missionary to go to a certain place at a certain time and look for a man with an orange turban to minister to him.

God loves us and shows himself to anyone who truly wants to know him. God will reveal himself to you too, if you just ask him to.

He wants to be known beyond just a Bible story. He is the ultimate story teller who can take every event of your life and carefully weave them together so that you always win. He knows every intimate detail of your dreams. He knows your fears and he knows every chapter of your journey - and he knows how to guide us through them.

If you grow satisfied with only the stories of Jesus then you are in danger of replacing the person of Christ with the religion of Christ, but if you allow him to author your story, he lives in you.

Challenge: Do you seek the Lord each day with all your heart? What does that even mean and what does that look like? Intentionally schedule your day to start and finish with Jesus so he remains your highest priority.
