How To Be Positioned For The Miraculous?

"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Psalm 84:1-2
I have noticed that for every authentic gift of the Lord, there is a counterfeit. Counterfeits attempt to rob you of God's gifts and glory through a substitute. It may be good, but is it God's best?
You need the gift of discernment to tell the difference.
Discernment is a spiritual gift that resonates truth in your spirit. It's a knowing that's deep in your gut, even though there are no other signs to cause you to question.
Discernment is also a learned gift that can detect disconnects of things that just don't line up and stories that don't quite make sense. You can see the facts but the facts don't make sense.
Each of us needs to develop both our spiritual and learned discernment skills. The Holy Spirit will actually tell you what's going on spiritually behind the natural events you see.
"My son, do not let wisdom leave your sight. Carefully observe sound judgment and discernment, and they will be life to you and a graceful ornament for your neck. Then you will travel safely on your way, and your foot will not stumble." Proverbs 3:21-23.
Challenge: Practice spiritual and natural discernment by paying attention to details. Look for both for confirmation and disconnects of facts, then ask the Holy Spirit to help you discern the spirit, if any, in operation.
