Are You A Fruit?
Hungry - Day 10
"Fruit" of the Kingdom of God is not something you do, it's who you are.
To put this simply, spiritual fruit cannot be fabricated in any way, shape, or form. Fruit is the byproduct of the plant and the plant is the byproduct of its roots.
The miraculous manifestation of the Kingdom of God is what naturally happens as the roots of our faith tap into the revelation and relationship of Jesus. The more intimately we know him and the greater the understanding of his character the more we reflect his pressence as the "fruit" of our lives.
Jesus taught us that the fruit of his life was not from himself, but just like us, he could do nothing without his Father.
"... The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves."
The FRUIT of Jesus, was simply the love of God at work through him. Jesus went on to say:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do... If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:12-14.
How are we supposed to do even greater things then Jesus? Jesus then tells us:
"... you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me... and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:19-21.
Spiritual fruit is the natural reproduction of God's love. It's not something you try to do, it just is because of who lives in you. It's what naturally comes out of you when the love of Jesus flows through you.
Challenge: Do you see salvations, healings, and deliverence as a regular part of your life and ministry? Didn't Jesus tell us to do these things? Why do you believe you are or are not?
